To DAST (1 g, 6.2 mmol) in CH2Cl2 (20 mL) at −78° C. was added the alcohol 37 in CH2Cl2 (10 mL). After 1 hour at −78° C. the solution was warmed to room temperature. After 7 hours the solution was carefully quenched with a saturated aqueous solution of sodium bicarbonate and the two layers separated. The organic phase was dried (MgSO4) and concentrated. Flash chromatography (90% to 66% hexane/acetone) of the residue gave the product as an oil (600 mg, 37%). MS m/z 264 (M+H, 100%).
