A mixture of 1 g of 7-chloro-2,2-dimethyl-2,3-dihydro-1H-imidazo[1,2-a]pyrimidin-5-one and 10 ml of morpholine is heated at 120° C. for 1 hour. After cooling, the reaction mixture is concentrated under reduced pressure. The residue obtained is purified by silica chromatography (eluent: CH2Cl2/MeOH 97/03) so as to give 650 mg of 2,2-dimethyl-7-morpholin-4-yl-2,3-dihydro-1H-imidazo[1,2-a]pyrimidin-5-one, the characteristics of which are the following:
