A mixture of benzothiazole-2,6-diamine (Example 1, 50 mg, 0.3 mmol) and thiophene-2-carboximidothioic acid phenyl ester hydrobromide (91 mg, 0.3 mmol) was stirred at room temperature for 17 hours. After this time a precipitate formed. The mixture was diluted with 4 mL of Et2O and filtered to give the title compound. Yield: 94%, 1H-NMR (DMSO-d6): δ 11.30 (br s, 1H); 9.71 (s, 1H); 8.80 (s, 1H); 8.18 (m, 2H); 7.74 (m, 3H); 7.29 (m, 3H).
