A solution of 4.22-C of Step 3 (80 mg, 0.13 mmol) and potassium acetate (0.5 mg, 0.51 mmol) in methanol (1.1 mL) was heated to 65° C. and treated with a solution of 2-amino-1-phenylethanone hydrochloride (44 mg, 0.26 mmol) in methanol (0.5 mL). The reaction mixture was heated at 65° C. for 16 h, cooled and the solid was filtered. The solid was washed with methanol and the filtrate concentrated to a crude solid which was purified by preparative LCMS to yield 4.22-D (43 mg, 51%). LCMS found for C31H32F3N4O5S2 (M+H)+: m/z=661.
