Procedure
Heteropolyacids in the presence of water were reported to dimerized α-methylstyrene in Japanese patent application JP07/242,573 (CA 123.339126j). At 100° C., H3PW12O40 and water was reported to give 86.1% of α-methylstyrene dimer.
Workup
- customAt 100° C.
