9.22 g of triphenylphosphine, 6.93 ml of trichlorobromomethane, 5 g of 2-thienylacetic acid and 8.50 g of 2-amino-4,6-dimethylpyridine are dissolved in 120 ml of tetrahydrofuran. The mixture is brought to reflux and filtered, and the filtrate is concentrated; the residue is chromatographed on silica gel, eluting with dichloromethane, and the product obtained is recrystallized from isopropyl ether.
