2-{4-[[5-(3-Methyl-5-isoxazolyl)pentyl]oxy]phenyl}benzothiazole [II; R1 and R2 =H, Het=benzothiazol-2-yl] was prepared from 5 g 2-(4-hydroxyphenyl)benzothiazole and 5.1 g 5-(5-bromopentyl)-3-methylisoxazole according to the procedure of Example 1: yield 6.9 g, m.p. 120°-121° C. when recrystallized from triethylamine and then from isopropyl acetate.
