Procedure
A solution of the compound from Step 4a (3.8 g, 9.8 mmol) and hydrazine (0.64 mL, 20 mmol) in EtOH (30 mL) was stirred at room temperature for 2 hours. The reaction mixture was filtered. The filtrate was concentrated and the residue was dissolved in EtOAc. The organic phase was washed with brine, dried (Na2SO4), filtered and solvent was reduced under reduced pressure giving 2.4 g (95%) of the title compound, which was used without additional purification.
