The titled compound was prepared following the procedure A using methyl [4-(aminomethyl)phenoxy]acetate acetate and 4-[(4-butylphenyl)ethynyl]benzaldehyde as a pale yellow oil (36%). 1H NMR (CDCl3, 300 MHz) δ 7.46 (d, J=8.1 Hz, 2H), 7.42 (d, J=8.3 Hz, 2H), 7.29 (d, J=8.3 Hz, 2H), 7.25 (d, J=8.7 Hz, 2H), 7.13 (d, J=8.3 Hz, 2H), 6.86 (d, J=8.7 Hz, 2H), 4.60 (s, 2H), 3.79 (s, 3H), 3.78 (s, 2H), 3.72 (s, 2H), 2.59 (t, J=7.7 Hz, 2H), 1.58 (m, 2H), 1.34 (m, 2H), 0.91 (t, J=7.2 Hz, 3H).
