The titled compound was prepared following the procedure E using methyl 4-[({4-[(4-butylphenyl)ethynyl]benzyl}amino)methyl]benzoate and 3-cyclopentylpropanoyl chloride as a colorless oil (71%). 1H NMR (CDCl3, 300 MHz) δ 8.02 (d, J=8.3 Hz, 1H), 7.97 (d, J=8.3 Hz, 1H), 7.54-7.39 (m, 4H), 7.30-7.06 (m, 6H), 4.61 (d, J=11.3 Hz, 2H), 4.48 (d, J=11.7 Hz, 2H), 3.91 (m, 3H), 2.61 (t, J=7.7 Hz, 2H), 2.41 (m, 2H), 1.79-1.66 (m, 4H), 1.65-1.43 (m, 7H), 1.40-1.28 (m, 2H), 1.14-1.00 (m, 2H), 0.92 (t, J=7.3 Hz, 3H). M+ (ESI): 536.4. HPLC, Rt: 6.42 min (Purity: 99%).
