A mixture of N-(3-{[tert-butyl(dimethyl)silyl]oxy}propyl)-2-chloro-5-fluoro-N-methyl-4-pyrimidinamine (Example 82, 2.22 g, 6.65 mmol) in ethanol/HCl/water (95:1:4, 50 mL) was stirred at rt for 18 h and then concentrated under reduced pressure. The residue was passed through a plug of silica gel to give the title compound (1.13 g, 77%) as a viscous yellow oil. 1H NMR (300 MHz, DMSO-d6) δ 8.08 (d, 1H), 3.59 (t, 2H), 3.43 (t, 2H), 3.24 (d, 3H), 1.74-1.71 (m, 2H).
