A solution of tert-butyl ((3S)-1-{4-[2-(2,4,6-trifluorobenzyl)-7-(trifluoromethyl)-2H-indazol-3-yl]phenyl}pyrrolidin-3-yl)carbamate (0.05 g, 0.085 mmol) in 1 mL CH2Cl2 was treated with 0.1 mL of trifluoroacetic acid and stirred at ambient temperature overnight. Then the reaction mixture was partitioned with extra CH2Cl2 and saturated NaHCO3. The organic phase was isolated and dried (Na2SO4). The sovent was evaporated and the residue treated with excess HCl in diethyl ether. The solids were collected and dried to give 0.32 g of the title compound as the HCl salt.
