Reaction Steps
Alkylation reaction of phenol 58 with 1,2-epoxy-3-methylbutane gave 2-(3-(3-(2-hydroxy-3-methylbutoxy)phenyl)propyl)isoindoline-1,3-dione as yellow oil. Yield (1.105 g, 76%): 1H NMR (400 MHz, CDCl3) δ 8.11-8.14 (m, 1H), 7.52-7.57 (m, 2H), 7.33-7.36 (m, 1H), 7.17-7.21 (m, 1H), 6.85 (s, 1H), 6.74 (dd, J=8.4, 2.0 Hz, 1H), 3.75 (d, J=5.6 Hz, 2H), 2.70 (t, J=7.2 Hz, 2H), 1.84-2.03 (m, 5H), 1.03 (d, J=6.8 Hz, 3H), 0.99 (d, J=6.8 Hz, 3H).
