Procedure
7.8 g of the 3-(3,4-dimethoxyphenyl)-4-chloroacetylpiperazin-2-one prepared in accordance with Example 7, 50 ml of toluene and 4.5 g (0.05 mol) of morpholine are boiled under reflux for 3 hours. The reaction mixture is then concentrated in vacuo, an aqueous solution of potassium carbonate is added to the residue and the mixture is extracted by shaking with methylene chloride. The organic phase is separated off and the methylene chloride is removed by evaporation.
