N1-(pyrid-3-yl)-4-methoxy-8-amino-dibenzo[b,d]furan-1-carboxamide (100 mg, 0.30 mmol) (step 2) was treated with acetyl chloride (1.1 eq.) in THF (10 ml) containing pyridine (1.1 eq) at 0° C. and allowed to warm to room temperature. The reaction was stirred at room temperature for 1 h. THF was evaporated and the residue was purified by silica gel column chromatography using 25% acetone-chloroform as eluent to obtain 6 mg of N1-(pyrid-3-yl)-4-methoxy-8-acetamido-dibenzo[b,d]furan-1-carboxamide as white solid; mp: >250° C.
