Reaction Steps
A mixture of 23 g of 4-(3-fluoro-5-nitro-phenoxy)-2-methoxymethyl-pyrrolidine-1-carboxylic acid tert-butyl ester (7), 100 mL MeOH and 2 g of Pd(OH)2/C was stirred for 2 hours under a 50 psi hydrogen atmosphere. The mixture was filtered off through a pad of diatomaceous earth and concentrated to give a quantitative yield of 4-(3-amino-5-fluoro-phenoxy)-2-methoxymethyl-pyrrolidine-1-carboxylic acid tert-butyl ester (8).
