Degassed a solution of 5-chloro-1-(p-tolylsulfonyl)-3-(4,4,5,5-tetramethyl-1,3,2-dioxaborolan-2-yl)pyrrolo[2,3-b]pyridine (1.46 g, 3.37 mmol), (3S)-3-[(2-chloro-5-fluoro-pyrimidin-4-yl)amino]-1-methyl-cyclohexanol, 29c, (0.72 g, 2.81 mmol) and Na2CO3 (4.21 mL of 2M solution, 8.433 mmol) in dimethoxyethane (15 mL) for 30 min with nitrogen. To the reaction mixture was added palladium tetrakis-triphenylphosphane (0.16 g, 0.14 mmol). The reaction mixture was heated at 130° C. in Q-tube apparatus for 45 minutes. The reaction mixture was filtered through a pad of 1 cm of silica gel and 2 cm celite. The product was purified by silica gel chromatography (hexanes/EtOAc) to afford the desired product, 29e (63% yield).
