Procedure

To 6-bromo-2-[4-(N′-tert-butoxycarbonylhydrazinocarbonyl)benzyl]-1-oxo-4-phenyl-1,2-dihydroisoquinoline-3-carboxylic acid methyl ester (158 mg) was added a solution (5 ml) of 4N hydrochloric acid ethyl acetate at room temperature and the mixture was stirred at room temperature for 1 hr. The solvent was evaporated under reduced pressure and the obtained residue was crystallized from diisopropyl ether to give the title compound (112 mg, 79%).

Workup

  1. customThe solvent was evaporated under reduced pressure
  2. customthe obtained residue was crystallized from diisopropyl ether
