2-Methylsulfonyl-4-(3-pyridyloxy)-5-(4-chlorophenyl)-6-(2,4-dichlorophenyl)pyrimidine from Example 86 (50 mg, 0.1 mmol) was reacted with 2 equivalents each of n-butyl lithium and cyclobutylmethanol by the procedure described in Reference Examples 6 and 7 to afford 2-cyclobutylmethoxy-4-(3-pyridyloxy)-5-(4-chlorophenyl)-6-(2,4-dichlorophenyl)pyrimidine: HPLC/MS: m/e=512 (M++1); Rt=4.40 min. 1H-NMR 400 MHz (CDCl3): δ 1.80-1.98 (m, 4H), 2.10-2.11(m, 2H), 2.74(m, 1H), 4.20 (d, J=7 Hz, 2H), 7.00 (m, 1H), 7.13-7.18 (m, 2H), 7.20-7.30 (m, 5H), 7.63-7.68 (m, 1H), 8.11 (m, 2H).
