2-Methylsulfonyl-4-(3,4-difluorophenoxy)-5-(4-chlorophenyl)-6-(2,4-dichlorophenyl)pyrimidine from Example 20 (30 mg, 0.06 mmol) with 2 equivalents each of n-butyl lithium and isopropyl alcohol by the procedure described in Reference Example 6 and 7 to afford the title compound: HPLC/MS: m/e=521 (M++1); Rt=4.93 min. 1H-NMR 400 MHz (CDCl3): δ 1.33 (d, J=6 Hz, 6H), 5.02-5.09 (m, 1H), 6.90-6.94 (m, 1H), 7.04-7.10 (m, 1H), 7.12-7.28 (m, 7H), 7.35 (d, J=2 Hz, 1H).
