A 4 mL scintillation vial was charged with 1-[2-(4-tert-butyl-benzenesulfonylamino)-5-chloro-phenyl]-1H-[1,2,3]triazole-4-carboxylic acid ethyl ester (synthesized according to general procedure G, 10 mg, 0.02 mmol) and 2 M NH3 in EtOH (1 mL). The reaction was heated to 100° C. and stirred overnight. The following day, the volatiles were removed in vacuo and the residue was purified by preparative TLC chromatography to afford 1-[2-(4-tert-butyl-benzenesulfonylamino)-5-chloro-phenyl]-1H-[1,2,3]triazole-4-carboxylic acid amide: MS (ES) M+H expected 434.1, found 434.0.
