±(1S*,2R*,4R*)-[4-Azido-2-(4-methylsulfanyl-benzenesulfonylmethyl)-cyclohexyl]-carbamic acid tert-butyl ester (from example 55d), (100 mg) was dissolved in MeOH (1 ml) prior to the addition of 5% Pd/BaSO4 (120 mg). A hydrogen balloon was added and the solution was stirred for 1.5 h. The palladium was filtered off and the solution was concentrated to give ±(1S*,2R*,4R*)-[4-amino-2-(4-methylsulfanyl-benzenesulfonylmethyl)-cyclohexyl]-carbamic acid tert-butyl ester (94 mg). MS found: (M+H)+=415.2.
