1-(4-Methyl-pyridin-3-yl)-3-[1-(2-trimethylsilanyl-ethoxymethyl)-1H-benzoimidazol-5-yl]-imidazolidin-2-one (260 mg, 0.6138 mmol) in 1,4-dioxane hydrochloride (15 mL) was taken in a reaction flask and the flask was stirred at room temperature for 12 hours. The reaction was monitored by TLC (10% MeOH in CHCl3). The reaction mixture was concentrated under reduced pressure and the concentrate was washed with diethyl ether and hexane to afford 26 mg of the product (46.8% yield).
