To a suspension of methyl {5-[(5-{[(4-chlorophenyl)acetyl]amino}pyridin-3-yl)carbonyl]-7H-pyrrolo[2,3-d]pyrimidin-7-yl}acetate (Example 306, 197 mg, 0.425 mmol) in MeOH (4 mL) was added an aqueous solution of KOH (0.425 mL of a 1M solution, 0.425 mmol) and then further MeOH (4 mL) was added. The reaction was stirred for 2 hours at room temperature. The reaction was concentrated in vacuo to give the title compound as a light brown solid in 99% yield, 205 mg.
