Procedure
[I; Ar is 3,4-(HO)2C6H3, R0 is H, R' and R" are CH3CO, Y is CH2CH2CH2CH2 ] was prepared from 6-(3,4-methylenedioxyphenyl)hexyl iodide (prepared by reduction of the compound of Preparation D2) and the lithium salt of 2,4-pentanedione, followed by ether cleavage with boron tribromide. The resulting product was obtained in the form of a light yellow viscous liquid.
