Procedure
After 7.0 g (0.22 moles) of 6-(p-chlorophenoxymethyl)-4-phenyl-2-morpholinone and 20 g of isopropylamine were dissolved in 50 ml of dioxane and the resulting Solution was left to stand overnight at room temperature, the reaction mixture was concentrated in vacuo. The residue was solidified by addition of a small amount of ether. The solid was filtered, washed with ether and dried to give 8.7 g of the product. Recrystallization from ethanol afforded 5.5 g (66.3%) of crystals, with a melting point of 140.5° to 142.5°.
