430 mg (0.962 mmol) of 2-methyl-6-[2-(3-chlorobenzyl-tert-butyloxycarbonylamino)-ethyl]-3,4-dihydro-2H-1,4-benzoxazine-3-thione is mixed with 10 ml of a solution of ammonia in methanol (7N) and stirred overnight at room temperature. The solvent is spun off, and the residue is chromatographed on silica gel (mobile solvent: dichloromethane/isopropanol). The yield is 218.6 mg (52.9%).
