Procedure

7-(2-Propyl)-6,7-dihydro-5H-benzocycloheptene-8-carboxylic acid was synthesized by the same process as in Reference Example 7, (d), the same process as in Reference Example 1, (b) and (c), and then the same process as in Reference Example 22, (b), except for using monoethyl[3-phenyl-1-(2-propyl)propyl]propanedioate.
