(1971), 8(5), 779-831] with dibenzoylperoxide and N-bromosuccinimide in carbon tetrachloride at reflux yielded the 1-(5-bromo-1,2-dihydro-benzo[d]azepin-3-yl)-ethanone; hydrogenation of the 1-(5-bromo-1,2-dihydro-benzo[d]azepin-3-yl)-ethanone with tritium using Pd/C in methanol in the presence of triethylamine yielded the 1-(1,1,2-tritritio-1,2,4,5-tetrahydro-benzo [d]azepin-3-yl) -ethanone; treatment of the 1-(1,1,2-tritritio-1,2,4,5-tetrahydro-benzo[d]azepin-3-yl)-ethanone with conc. aq. hydrochloric acid in methanol gave the 1,1,2-tritritio-2,3,4,5-tetrahydro-1H-benzo[d]azepine.
