Procedure

2.31 Grams of 2-amino-2-deoxy-glucuronic acid was dissolved in a solution of 0.85 g of KOH in 200 ml of water. A solution of 2.035 g of AgNO3 in 100 ml of water was added to the former solution to precipitate the silver salt (Yield about 80%).
