1-(2-Methylphenyl)-4-oxo-6-β,β,γ,γ,γ-pentafluoropropyloxy-2,3,4,5-tetrahydropyrrolo[3,2-c]quinoline (2.6 g, 6.1 mmol), prepared by the procedure of Step 4 in the Example 57, was dissolved in diphenyl ether(20 ml) and 5%-Pd/C(400 mg) was added. The reaction mixture was refluxed for 4 hours, cooled to room temperature, and purified by silica gel chromatography to obtain 2.1 g of desired compound as solid in 58% of yield.
