Procedure
5-(1-Methylamino-2-phenylethyl)-[1,2,4]oxadiazole-3-carboxylic acid ethylester (3.3 g, 9.0 mmol) was dissolved in ethanol (30 ml). Benzylamine (3 ml) was added and the reaction mixture was stirred for 18 h at 20° C. The reaction mixture was concentrated in vacuo and the residue was crystallised from ethanol to give 2.07 g of (R) 5-(1-methylamino-2-phenylethyl)-[1,2,4]oxadiazole-3-carboxylic acid benzylamide.
