Procedure
In a manner analogous to that described in Example 4, the bottle is charged with 40 ml. of water, 18.7 ml. of styrene, 3.0 g. of butadiene, 1.0 g. of the dispersion stabilizer obtained in "B" above, and 0.22 ml. of para-menthane hydroperoxide. 1.0 ml. of a solution prepared from 0.232 g. of ferrous sulfate (FeSO4.7H2O) and 2.0 ml. of water is injected through the septum. After polymerization is continued over a period of 2 days (63 hours), the conversion is about 63.3%. The product is a redispersible paste.
