Reaction Steps
From 9 (488 mg, 2 mmol) and 3-chlorobenzylzinc chloride (0.5 M in THF, 10 mL, 5 mmol) by the same method as 10a; white powder (269 mg, 55%): mp 84.5-85.5° C.; 1H NMR (CDCl3) δ 3.82 (s, 2H, CH2), 4.30 (br s, 2H, NH2), 7.02 (d, J=8.4 Hz, 1H, H-3), 7.12-7.22 (m, 5H, aromatic protons).
