Reaction Steps

A solution of the silyl ether of Step 6 (79.2 mg, 1.56 mmol) in THF (20 mL) was treated with TBAF (2.0 mmol, 2.0 mL, 1M in THF). After stirring for 2 h at room temperature, the solvent was removed and the residue was purified by chromatography (eluting with EtOAc) to give 54.4 mg (89%) of the title compound as a white solid. 1H NMR (CDCl3 300 MHz) δ8.75 (1H, s) 8.50 (1H, s), 8.12 (1H, d), 7.80 (2H, d), 7.50 (2H, d), 7.35 (1H, m), 5.18 (1H, m), 3.60 (1H, d), 2.23 (1H, m), 1.97 (1H, m), 1.80 (1H, m), 1.48–1.23 (4H, m), 1.10 (1H, m), 0.64–0.45 (3H, m), MS (ES) m/e 393 (M)+.
