To a solution of (−)-6-(4-biphenylyl)methoxy-2-[2(N,N-dimethylamino)ethyl]tetralin (1.3 g) in methanol (10 ml) was added a solution of citric acid (0.65 g) in methanol (10 ml) and the resulting precipitated salt was collected by filtration and washed with methanol, ethyl acetate, and diethyl ether to obtain the titled compound (1.9 g).
