A solution of amine 8 (0.145 g, 0.57 mmol) and picolinoyl chloride hydrochloride (0.180 g, 1.01 mmol) in dry pyridine (5 ml) was stirred at room temperature overnight. After addition of water the brown solid was filtered and passed through a SiO2 gel, eluting with CH2Cl2: MeOH (100:5) affording the desired product 21 (0.065 g, 31%).
