Procedure
A mixture of 6-(2-Fluoro-phenyl)-thionicotinamide (1.5 g, 6 mmol) and 4-Bromo-3-oxo-pentanoic acid methyl ester (1.51 g, 7.2 mmol) in ethanol (100 mL) is heated to reflux for 24 h, and concentrated. The residue is purified by column chromatography on silica gel yielding 1.7 g of the product.
