Using (R)-2-chloro-1-(2-methyloxiran-2-yl-methyl)-4-nitroimidazole prepared in Example 12 (0.217 g, 1.00 mmol) and 4-[3-(4-chloro-phenyl)-2-propenyloxy]piperidine (0.250 g, 0.995 mmol) gave (S)-1-(2-chloro-4-nitroimidazol-1-yl)-3-{4-[3-(4-chlorophenyl)-2-propenyloxy]piperidin-1-yl}-2-methylpropan-2-ol (0.263 g, yield 56%) as a brown liquid in the same manner as in Example 254.
