Procedure
(+/−)-[9-[(4-Chlorophenyl)sulfanyl]-6-fluoro-8-(1-hydroxyethyl)-2,3-dihydro-1H-pyrrolo[1,2-a]indol-1-yl]acetic acid (Example 14, 100 mg) was esterified in Et2O by addition of an excess of CH2N2. After removal of the solvents, the title ester was obtained quantitatively as a pale yellow solid and used as such.
