Procedure

4-[6-(2-Amino-benzothiazol-4-yloxy)-pyrimidin-4-yl]-3,6-dihydro-2H-pyridine-1-carboxylic acid tert-butyl ester, (Example 200), (110 mg, 0.26 mmol) was dissolved in toluene (1.0 mL) and treated with acetic anhydride (100 μL, 1.0 mmol, Aldrich) at room temperature. The reaction mixture was stirred at 90° C. for 30 min. The resulting mixture was allowed to cool to room temperature and the solvents were removed in vacuum. The residue was purified by silica gel chromatography (gradient: 0% to 4.0% MeOH/CH2Cl2) to provide the title compound as a light-yellow foam. MS (ESI, pos. ion) m/z: 468 (M+1), 466 (M−1).
