Procedure
To 2-bromo-4-[6-(4-trifluoromethyl-phenyl)-pyrimidin-4-yloxy]-benzothiazole, (Example 86), (90 mg, 0.2 mmol) dissolved in dioxane (1 mL) was added ethanolamine (0.06 mL, 1 mmol, Aldrich). The reaction mixture was heated in microwave synthesizer at 200° C. for 10 min, allowed to cool to room temperature and evaporated in vacuum. Purification of the residue by silica gel chromatography (1:1 of EtOAc/hexanes) provided the title compound as a white solid. MS (ESI, pos. ion) m/z: 433 (M+1).
