86 mg (0.66 mmol) of hydroxylethylpiperazine are added to a solution of 90 mg (0.22 mmol) of 4-ethoxy-3-(6-methyl-4-oxo-8-propyl-3,4-dihydro-imidazo[1,5-a][1,3,5]triazin-2-yl)-benzenesulfonyl chloride (example VI) in 5 ml of dichloromethane and the reaction mixture is stirred at room temperature for 16 hours. After chromatographic purification (dichloromethane/methanol=95:5), 63 mg (57%) of 2-{2-ethoxy-5-[4-(2-hydroxy-ethyl)-piperazine-1-sulfonyl]-phenyl}-6-methyl-8-propyl-3H-imidazo[1,5-a][1,3,5]triazin-4-one are obtained.
