A solution of 5-ethoxycarbonylamino-1,2,3-thiadiazole-4-carbonyl chloride (5.17 g., 0.022 mole) in dioxane (35 ml. was added to a solution of 4-amino-6,7-dimethoxy-2-(1-piperazinyl)quinazoline (6.35 g., 0.022 mole) in dioxane (190 ml.). The resultant mixture was stirred at reflux for 1 hour, and then at 23° C. for 18 hours. Filtration gave the title compound; m.p. 281°-284° C. (dec.) after crystallization from methanol.
