Reaction Steps
The deprotection of (S)-2-oxo-3-[[2-[[[(phenylmethoxy)carbonyl]amino]methyl]benzoyl]amino]-1-azetidinesulfonic acid, potassium salt (see example 167) using hydrogen gas, palladium on charcoal, and hydrochloric acid, yields the title compound, melting point 162°-165° C.
