Procedure

The title compound was prepared in 29% yield from 3-iodo-5-methyl-indazole and 1,1,1-trifluoro-3-iodopropane according to the general procedure for Preparation 10A. The minor isomer was not isolated or characterized. 1H NMR (400 MHz, CDCl3): δ 2.49 (3H, s), 2.72-2.83 (2H, m), 4.59 (2H, t, J=7.2 Hz), 7.25-7.32 (3H, m).
