To a mixture of N-(6-chloro-5-methylpyridin-2-yl)-1-(2,2-difluorobenzo[d][1,3]dioxol-5-yl)cyclopropanecarboxamide (0.550 g, 1.5 mmol) and 6-methoxy-4-methylpyridin-3-ylboronic acid (0.376 g, 2.25 mmol) in DME (10 mL) and Na2CO3 (2 M, 1.5 mL, 3.0 mmol) was added Pd(PPh3)4 (0.087 g, 0.075 mmol). The mixture was heated in microwave oven at 120° C. for 30 minutes. The reaction was partitioned between ethyl acetate and water and the aqueous layer was extracted with ethyl acetate twice. The combined organic layers were washed with brine and dried over MgSO4. After the removal of solvent, the residue was purified by column chromatography (0-20% EtOAc-Hexane) to yield 1-(2,2-difluorobenzo[d][1,3]dioxol-5-yl)-N-(2′-methoxy-3,5′-dimethyl-2,3′-bipyridin-6-yl)cyclopropanecarboxamide (0.554 g, 81%). ESI-MS m/z calc. 453.44. found 454.2 (M+1)+. Retention time 2.08 minutes.
