To 1-(2,2-difluorobenzo[d][1,3]dioxol-5-yl)-N-(5′-fluoro-2′-methoxy-3-methyl-2,4′-bipyridin-6-yl)cyclopropanecarboxamide (19 mg, 0.04 mmol) in chloroform (0.5 mL) was added iodotrimethylsilane (32 mg, 0.16 mmol). The reaction mixture was stirred at room temperature for three hours. At this point the reaction mixture was purified directly by silica gel chromatography (eluting with 0-100% ethyl acetate in hexanes) to yield the product (5.1 mg, 47%). ESI-MS m/z calc. 443.38. found 444.3 (M+1)+. Retention time 1.63 minutes.
