To 2-(2-(2-(2-azidoethoxy)ethoxy)ethoxy)ethanamine (300 mg, 1.51 mmol, 1.00 equiv) in DCM (10 mL) was added TEA (375 mg, 3.00 equiv) followed by the portionwise addition of 3-(6,8-dichloro-2-ethyl-1,2,3,4-tetrahydroisoquinolin-4-yl)benzene-1-sulfonyl chloride (500 mg, 1.23 mmol, 1.00 equiv). The resulting solution was stirred for 1 h at room temperature and then concentrated under vacuum. The residue was applied onto a silica gel column and eluted with ethyl acetate/petroleum ether (1:2) to afford 0.4 g (41%) of N-(2-(2-(2-(2-azidoethoxy)ethoxy)ethoxy)ethyl)-3-(6,8-dichloro-2-ethyl-1,2,3,4-tetrahydroisoquinolin-4-yl)benzenesulfonamide as yellow oil.
