Procedure

Acetyl chloride [75-36-5] (1.0 mL, 14.1 mmol) was added, in portions, to an ambient temperature solution of N1-(3-bromoimidazo[1,2-b]pyridazin-6-yl)-N3-isopropylpropane-1,3-diamine (196.9 mg, 0.6 mmol) in pyridine (6.5 mL), and stirred under N2 blanket for 17 h. Pyridine was evaporated from the reaction mixture and the residue partitioned between aqueous 5% (w/v) sodium bicarbonate and ethyl acetate. The organic phase was washed with brine, dried (MgSO4) and evaporated to afford 219.2 mg of dark oil. LRMS (ESI) m/z 354.1/356.1 [(M+H)]+, calc'd for C14H20BrN5O: 354.25.
